Frauscher Diagnostic System
Maintenance and error rectification in signaling systems form the basis for safe, reliable and punctual railway operation. The Frauscher Diagnostic System FDS helps to minimize the time spent on site carrying out periodic maintenance. Important information, such as the quiescent current of the wheel sensor, can be read from a central service area. The possibility of faults occurring is already identified in advance and prevented by means of preventative measures.
However, in the event that a fault does in fact occur, the effective disruption time is considerably reduced by carrying out a simple error analysis and targeted error rectification. What is more, Frauscher also offers personal support via a remote maintenance service.
The availability of the axle counting and wheel detection systems is therefore increased further by using the FDS. The expenditure for maintenance is also noticeably reduced at the same time.
A broad interface portfolio
All current and archived diagnostic and statistical data can be called up using an Ethernet interface. In addition to implementing customer-specific interfaces, a simple connection via an XML interface forms another available option. This enables all information to be called up using a web browser at multiple locations within an interlocking and across rail stations.
Text or e-mail notifications to service personnel form an additional feature of the FDS interface portfolio. The collated data can also be prepared for use by higher-level diagnostic systems.
- Optional XML interfaces
- Data are also available for viewing over the Internet or by GSM/GPRS
- Notifications by SMS & e-mail
- Preparation for use by higher-level systems
Structure and configuration
The FDS is adapted according to the size of the system in question and can be quickly expanded as necessary. A patch cable connects the bus transfer unit (BTE) to up to four components for diagnosis. Galvanic isolation guarantees the absence of feedback to the axle counting system.
Furthermore, the BTE offers the option of processing the diagnostic data for the LOG processor, which collects and displays all relevant data on the selected interfaces. This enables autonomous data storage.
- Flexible configuration according to system size
- Diagnosis of up to four components using one BTE
- Preparation of data for the LOG processor
- Ensures autonomous data storag
